LipoCeuticals^® are a patented microscopic multi-layer encapsulation process, basically a sphere within a sphere within a sphere. LipoCeuticals^® encapsulate active payloads within a multi-lamellar lipid sphere of highly refined soy lecithin. Lecithin has been used in cosmetic preparations for its conditioning, emulsifying and moisturizing properties. The phospholipid composition of the lecithin used in the preparation of LipoCeuticals® greatly affects the interaction with the skin lipid barrier and the permeability of the actives.
