Re: Waseda, What is S-maltoside and who makes it?From: waseda CommentsPola makes it. S-maltoside is the abbreviated name of name of Stigma stanol maltoside. It inhibits DHT and promotes hair growth topically. The data will be presented in April or May in international meetings. Animal model shows the inhibiting potency of about same as Finasteride, but no sysemic side effect. According human clinical trials comparing with1% minox (this is the usual standard for clinical trials), S-maltoside showed far superior potency to minox for 4 months. Though minox didn't generate any terminal hairs, S-maltoside did 20%. We may interpret it as non side effect topical Finasteride. I have tried
the sample since 2 days ago only on my left temple Re: Waseda, What is S-maltoside and who makes it?From: waseda CommentsIt is not 5 alpha reductase inhibitor but DHT inhibitor that is we may take it as both type inhibitor like RU58841. As the researchers doesn't demonstrate the data yet, I can't present them exactly (this is the promise when I got the data and pictures), mouse experiments show very interesting result. If applied 1% DHT solution, the shaved area of male rat regenerates hairs by 1*% of controls ( sorry, imagine the *). If applied S-maltoside + 1%DHT solution, the shaved area regenerates 8*% of control. The difference is supposed to be the effect of S-maltoside inhibitation of DHT. Do you think this figure similar to that of Finasteride? We may speculate S-maltoside is a kind of both type DHT inhibitor though neither complete nor perfect Re: Waseda, What is S-maltoside and who makes it?From: waseda CommentsSure. Anyway I am showing one month comparison pictures in April. I don't know if Pola will sell it internationally. Will you ask Pola U.S. (www. pola.com)? To Waseda: S-maltoside and BayberryFrom: Z CommentsWaseda You are simply amazing. :-) Thanks for the info on these two herbs. So do we add these two herbs to Morehairin? If so, would you be kind enough to post the exact amount? Furthermore, would this change the amount of the vehicle (alcohol or Dermovan)? It will be interesting to know whether these two herbs reduce DHT only or they downregulate the scalp androgen receptors. If it is the latter, then these ingredients are truly incredible and as you stated previously, this puts them in the same class as RU-58841. Bayberry is available on the 'net, however the search for S-maltoside yielded absolutely nothing. Thanks again. Z Re: To Waseda: S-maltoside and BayberryFrom: waseda CommentsAfter scrutinizing the paper, I will post the exact how to make of or how to add to of bayberry. S-maltoside is the main ingredient of Pola's Growing Shot S to come on 4/25. It is really topical, local. I am now persuading the staff of Pola to serve internationl order homepage in English. They don't understand the importance of their product for worldwide hair-loss men. They worry about the relationship with their business partner (a big pharmaceutical company which sell minox in Japan). Pola's concern is S-maltoside is superior to minox
