heres where i am at present. the growth isn't as quickly noticable as at first, explanation,, cuz when you hardly have any hair your going to see any growth right away. but the fact is it is growing slowly, some of the hairs that were 1/2 inch long are now 3/4 inch. before starting this treatment,,, how many guys had this feeling,, when you put your hand on the top of your head, patting it kinda. you felt a little pain (not a hurting pain) just a feeling the hair folicle was hurting. that feeling is completly gone. the top of my head feels very healthy. i will continue this as i am convinced although the growth is slow, but like i've said before, i never lost my hair over night either, but i have growth and i feel good about that right now

I've been using it for about a week as well. Too early to notice regrowth as of yet, but my scalp and hair feel very healthy, and my scalp's 'tight' feeling is gone and the ZnO apparently helps it remain in a relaxed, itch and dandruff- free state. It's nourishing for the scalp. I have no doubts this will produce growth for me, what I will top out at I don't know, and one week is a not enough to be able to tell a difference visually, so I will definitely continue this regimen and see what happens

First off, I don't want to get anybody's hopes up, but I couldn't help but share this.

I've only been on this thing for a week now, and I already have velous and some pigmented hairs growing where there has been not growth for about 5 years. I am definitely not out to shaft anybody, and I have no interest in promoting Zinc Oxide, Ascorbic Acid, Corn Starch, or water. :)

Now, keep in mind, I've only been on this for a week so I don't know what will happen next week, but I can say, there is growth. Yay!!

I feel like a kindergartner with a day pass to Toys'R'Us. :)

Don't know if this will work for everyone, but it seems to be working for me.

Zn0 - 40g Starch - 20g Ascorbic Acid - 60g Distilled Water - 375ml/375g

I wet my hair and scalp for a few minutes. Then I warm the ZnO briefly in the microwave, just until warm (only the amount I'm going to use). Then I apply it to my scalp, and leave it on for 45min - 1hr. I then wash it off with either Teraseptic Shampoo, or, merely antibacterial soap. Sounds crazy, but my scalp feels great, and there are little hairs growing along what used to be my front hairline.

I'm not sure if this is somekind of placebo, and my body's doing this, or, if this is actually working. All I know is that I see hair, so I'm going to keep trying it.

Good luck to all!

Stoon

PS I'm also taking a daily vitamin, and taking UDO essential fatty oils

Your regimen will work surely for your hairline, as my experiment showed speedy elongation of temple hair. Alcoholic concentration must be 50% or more and you should add some alcohol.

Don't use the stuff for normal hairs for example side hairs and back hairs, for abnormal hair growth will happen. I saw on fancl(maker of Mohkatsurin) pamphlet that rate of hair growth was accelerated up to ten fold of that of before treatment in several months in some trials. So, applying it on normal areas is wastful

I will surely present my comparison pictures in late April at some page and you will know the present situation of my hair there.

Though hard to confirm from the picture, my all scalp has already covered with vellus-tiny hairs and corwn bald area is shrinking slowly. A thin but almost terminal hairs bridge between both sides is now visible. Thin forehead mass is growing. All were entirely nothing before one year ago. As least I am no entire-bald man now. And this is important---I have never seen reversal any more.

Without doubt, original patent's treatment is the best. Next is zinc oxide cream + ascorbic acid (10%). Perhaps, zinc oxide cream + lemon extract (or vinegar) will be a bit weaker.

But, it may depend on users' congeniality

I've been taking gse orally for a couple of months now and was wondering is the brand I have will work for morehair. The front of the bottle says Grape Seed 25mg standardized. the back of the bottle says red wine powder 100mg, grape seed extract 50mg(50% polyphenols= 25mg)

Do I need a higher purity? or will this brand work

Thanks by the way I'm about 22 days into the ZO treatment. I'm noticing new little black hairs along my hairline which seem to be getting longer, cant really tell whats going on in the back. Scalp feels good and overall hair feels thicker after starting zo. I use the patent version. Also just started the process to make souhakuhi. I am really optimistic about being able to grow out my fro again

breal, I am very happy to hear your good result of ZnO.

I have tried a few brands of GSE and found that if we apply the net amount of oligomeric procyanidins(=OPC), the result would be the same in spite of the forms. Though you have to use 4 or 5 capsules per day (25mg*4=100mg, 25mg*5=125mg), the result will be the same as mine.

I mesured a target hair on my right temple today. It is 1.5cm. It was certainly 1.2cm some days ago. This growth rate is abnormal and I can say it is due to a lot of procyanidin (120mg/day), because the hair had been a little vellus hair before I started the 120mg/day procyanidin

first an FYI:

the hair at the crown of my head are starting to change, physically. i shaved my head right down to accomodate two different treatments. I'm applying Scar Fade to my HT scar(s) to minimize them. it seems to be working somewhat so far, but i do wish it would just "erase" my HT scars. secondly, i wanted to see the effects of the ZnO treatment. i have noticed that the fine vellus hairs on the crown area are becoming thicker. there is no colour change yet, but they are definitely growing out with a thicker, more stubble like, feel. i hope this continues!

on that note, i would like to employ the services of someone who can send me the herbal ingredients for Souhakuhi and Mohkatsurin. i will pay shipping, etc., and little extra for the effort :)

anybody up for the challenge?

i figure if the ZnO is working, the i would like to try it with the other stuff as well.

Thanks,

This has been discussed numerous times. In any regards, Desetin (the ZnO2 diaper cream) is not appropiate cream for our purposes. Use the Margarite Zinc Oxide cream or Red Clover as suggested by Waseda.

I'm using the Margarite ZnO cream along with ascorbic acid and after 3+ weeks of treatment, the texture of the scalp has changed and there are velous hairs along the hairline. It is much too early to tell how successful this treatment will be. It is best to ask this question in June.

I am seeing vellous hairs on my temples and my front hairline, although there arent many of them. The only other time i have seen vellous hairs in the region was one month ago when i had a retinol based chemical peel, which grew tremendous amounts of vellous hairs in a very short time. Comparing the retinol peel with the zinc oxide treatment, the retinol produced more vellous hair in less time, although the zinc oxide makes my scalp feel great, i dont really have a dandruff problem anymore. Good luck to all

I think also GSE+Pine Bark EXtract will be promising, but anyway I am trying Country Life's product, for it looks of hihg purity as you say.

And seeing my hair growth in these days, a lot of GSE amount per day application really, without doubt promote my hair growth. It can be visible!! I'm now satisfied with GSE. Though mudyy, messy, dirty, being left on my scalp, but, but, it works surprisingly. Thickening, elongation in fact happens speedily. Why not try Moreharin

3. Can you over or under boil the ingrediants?

Although this could be my imagination, I am beginning to feel .... hopeful! The hairs are very small and much lighter than my medium brown hair. For people who are seeing results, is this in line with what you see. I am on the boric version. Who knows, with the amount of time I have spent looking at the area in the mirror, my mind may be filling in the gaps by starring too long. I guess I will have a better understanding in a few months.

Hang in there guys, it could be worse.

I've been on this Zinc Oxide treatment for about 1.5 months. I've got hairs all over the front of my scalp, and some along my temple as well. The hairs at front are about 3/8" long, while the ones at the temples are 1/8 to 1/4". I'm very pleased with this treatment, as I now have enough hair so that I no longer look completely bald, only balding (perhaps severely).

The only problem now is a matter of density. The newly-grown hairs are dark, but not as thick as the rest of the hairs on my sides and rear. If exposed to direct light, my scalp is still visible. Thus, at this point, I need for the hairs to get thicker and to have greater density at top and in front. I'm using the Souhakuhi and GSE in alcohol treatment as well. Once the GSE runs out, I'll try the moreharin next.

Is there anything else I can do Waseda? If I can get these new hairs to grow longer and thicker, I'll be back in business.

I too Waseda want to thank you for your time and efforts. You've given me a new lease on hair life.

Many many, Thanks

trey when i do update, i have been told in a round about way i am seeing things. well trey i am not seeing things,, this is working for me, i make it clear i don't have a full lock of hair, i make it clear you can still see my scalp when i bend in front of a mirror, i also say i see a brown haze and my hair is getting longer, i am not seeing things, why don't i have pictures, i really don't want to send my picture to the world. i have a long way to go to get a full head of hair if it every does come. but believe me when i say,it is working for me. sorry it doesn't work for all people, it is like rk surgery, i had that done,, worked great for me haven't wore glasses since 1995, but know this many of my friends had it done to and could never throw away the glasses. some things work for some and not others why, maybe the mind does come into play, cuz i am convinced without a doubt this will continue to help me. i do see little bitty hairs they are just poking out right now and they are a silver color, as my wife put it, up to now i have a fair amount of growth.. i will update but the stage i am in now, it is a real slow growth not as noticable as when i first started ,, cuz as again my wife put it i was almost slick shinny bald,,,, any growth was quickly seen. i say to all hang in there,, word of caution to the boric acid users, after you go 3 fifteen days. don't over do it follow the patent, cuz i got a real scare last weekend, got real sick to my stomach for 2 days and real funny feeling. i feel normal but i am sure i over did it on the boric acid, i am now following the patent with once a week then going to the once a month thing, but in between i use zinc oxide and vinegar, (was using lemon juice but vinegar seems ok to use and i have a bottle laying around. anyway enough said, i wish all the best luck and i will update from time to time

I agree, I just reached the 35 day mark and am waiting for my absorbic acid to come in. I only leave the stuff on for 25 minutes anyway. I've also added souhakuhi, morehairan, and I recently just added topical spiro. Now its seems every two weeks or so I'll see improvement. Cant wait to get my haircut and see how it looks. I feel that it will probably take a couple of hair cycles to see major improvement. To bad this does not work for everyone, but I know what I'm seeing is for real, and I'm not hallucinating

Hi Trey,

My story is the same as the others. There is still improvement for both my scalp and my hair. My hair in the back is starting to turn a little more brownish in colour, but it is very thin, and you can only see the colour if you look under good light. The thing that is most encouraging to me is that I know I never had hair that I could really see there before.

Now, part of the reason I haven't take any picture is that, as I said before, I've shaved my head to try and minimize my HT wounds :( I am also encouraged here too, though, because I am using a product called "ScarFade", and it is most assuredly taking the pinkness and scarring out of my scalp. It takes a while though. I've been applying it almost everyday for the past month, and only within the last couple days has the scarring started to fade. My donor area isn't quite as well faded, but it is getting smoother.

That's about it for me!!

I have been using a mix of both versions (cream and the patent). Up until last week, it seemed that I was on my way to recovery. Lots of small black hairs grew along the hairline. This week my hair in general seems to a bit thin. I may have gone through a 'mini-shed' cycle this last weekend.

So for the next two weeks, I will be only using the patent version of the formula and after that I will switch to the Licorice/Margarite ZnO2 Cream/Ascorbic Acid version.

As others have stated, it will probably take several hair cycles before the situation stabilizes.

I hope to formulate a Dermovan\GSE solution by next week.

I will report on my progress or lack there of in mid May.

Good luck to everyone

I was pretty sceptical, after trying rogaine and nixion for 2 months with negative effects.

for the past 5, I've followed the patent version and unless I'm seeing things, I do have an army of small lighter color hairs invading the front of my hairline.

However although I do have new hair growth, I am still shedding from the top of my head. Does this treatment usually prevent shedding?

Also I only have moderate hair loss on the top of my head and it is very difficult to get the mixture onto my scalp most of it just sticks to my hair... Any ideas?

Hi all,

Well I'm reporting back after 2 weeks of use. I started on the 22/03. Using ZO powder with Ascorbic Acid.

Let me say that anything I report here may be imagined because I'm not using any other treatments besides ZO and Nizoral so I never looked really closely at my hairline before.

First off I noticed that my scalp did feel kind of different after starting. Maybe a little healthier, but not much, and hard to define how.

Results? Well nothing really. I can't be sure but I may be seeing some vellous hair growth on my right temple. There is a definate difference between my left and right temple now, and I have a lot more vellous hairs on my right than left. I don't know if this is from the ZO or if they have always been there, or if they're just coming out of a dormant stage after the previous hair fell out.

My hair loss may have slowed as well. I don't see nearly so many hairs falling onto my desk at work.

All in all pretty unsubstantial and also it could all be my hopeful imagination. But there you go.

Best luck to everyone and I'm sticking this out for a few months.

Scott

I'm back on the boric acid formula starting tonight. I asked the same question yesterday about boric acid vs. ascorbic acid. Since I have made good progress after 21 days of boric acid I was afraid to switch to ascorbic acid, but since everyone seems to think boric acid is a health risk I switched 3 days ago. Now I'll switch back to the original boric acid formula. I'll keep asking this until someone with knowledge answers-- JUST HOW TOXIC IS BORIC ACID

Well, not really any good news yet (sorry). I havn't noticed any new growth or thickness yet. Mind you i've got a lot of hair to begin with, with no actual "bald spots" per se. Most people's early progress consists of new vellus hairs, and i've already got those to start with. Here's my growing concern tho, i'm on the patent version and my scalp still feels mildly sunburned. starting about 2 weeks ago i started wetting my head before application and that's when this started. It's not red, its not really very sore, but when i wiggle my scalp around with my hands i can feel it. ANYONE else ever get this? I don't want to have to switch to the AA version. Also, i've read a lot of posts where some people get upset 'cause they're not getting the results after 2 weeks or 4 weeks or whatever. Expecting 3 months before any results is a standard practice in the health world, not just hairland. That's what an herbologist told me and she knew nothing about hair. So don't give up.

ps. I'm glad to hear that there's someone who got no results from minoxodil is getting some from ZnO

I have been on the zinc ozide cream solution on my temples for around a month (too greasy for the crown) and the powder and boric acid solution for about ten days now. Last night I had a look at my crown for the first time in about a week under natural light and I was shocked by what I saw - hair ! Ive been on a fairly solid program for about 6 months now and had started to see some good vellous growth in the crown and temples and some darkening of those hairs. However , after adding Zinc ozide and emu oil in the last ten days on the crown, I have seen a dramatic darkening of the vellous hairs, almost to the point of not being able to notice my bald spot at a quick glance . When I started doing research and following a program 6-9 months ago I had a virtual slick spot about the size of a golf ball and a very thinning area the size of a baseball - I could see I was heading for a Norwood 5 or worse. In sharp light you can still see the shine, but it is the first time in about 3-4 years that that I have visible hair covering my crown. The feeling that I had at that moment was almost indescribable- Ive been on a high ever since. I am convinced that it is the Zinc oxide treatment that has kicked on the regrowth and darkenning, as my temple area has also developed significant regrowth and darkening since starting a month ago. I am also convinced that the rest of the program is an excellent adjunct to the zinc. It is as follows: Minox +a mornings Minox and Spiro in evenings Crinagen in evenings (was using Revivogen until new formula caused shedding. Emu Oil every second day Proscar 1.25mg Plus lots of vitamins , minerals, amino acids. I am at the moment gathering the ingredients for morehairin and will add that to the mix as well. A lot of treatments and a hassle to apply ? Sure ! Do I care now that I'm getting my hair back ? No way

It seems to be working for me

Hey everyone:

I have been using the ZO treatment for 2 weeks today, the AA version. Yesterday I noticed many new tiny dark vellus hairs along my hairline, some very far down, almost to my teenage hairline ( I am 35 ). I also use Xandrox and Propecia, as well as other things, but all of this growth has come since starting the ZO. It is exciting because the hair is coming in the same color as my normal hair, making me believe that it may actually grow cosmetically significant. Anyway, I'll keep going and fill you all in. I will say however that it seems to affect the hairline much more than other areas for some reason.

Hi ,

Although Ive tried OPC just recently ,Im seeing new fine black hair growth on the forehead everywhere . As someone said on this forum " there's not a better feeling than growing hair"

Anyway the way my little evening ritual is as follows:

-Wet my hair with HOT water -apply ZO everywhere without really rubbing it cos it then mainly stays on your fingers. -put a plastic bag over ,pull it nice and tight and spread the ZO through it .you can then feel the freshness spread everywhere .wait 25 mn- -without rinsing shampoo your head and leave it 10 more mn . you now get a ZO/shampoo mix that spreads evenly . -Rinse off and the scalps feels great ,almost numb
