Just wanted to let you know that I have had a history of melanoma also. I was one of those rare cases...I was born with it. Ask your doctor what the odds of that are! I was successfully treated at age one year with surgery alone. I had a re-occurrence at age 12 and was treated with surgery and radiation. I had another scare last year but it turned out to be basal cell. A friend of mine is fighting an advanced case and he was enrolled in a study at Duke using gene therapy. That failed and he opted for the dreaded "triple cocktail" which has put him into remission. A miracle indeed since he was supposed to be dead last October. By the way, his hair looks better now than it has in ten years. It came back thicker than it was before. Cancer pisses me off. It takes valuable things away from us if we let it. Don't let it win my friend, don't ever let it win. Michele
