The thing that strikes me about this 5 year statement is that in order to release this procedure on US soil, I believe it would take about 5 years if he were to begin putting the pieces in place right now. There is going to be an enormous amount of gearing up as well as red tape to wade through. For this reason, I take the 5 year statement more positively than many others do, because he obviously plans on releasing the procedure in his home country much sooner.

I really do think that if the procedure were to be released right now it would give pretty good cosmetic results, but the real hanger is that it would cost a mint and take about 4 months to do. I think a whole lot of the Dr.s time and a whole lot of re-occuring lab fees are eating into the economic feasibility of the procedure. Now I have to think that if Gho has a procedure that would cost way more than HT but only offer a similar density with an improvement in hair direction, and this procedure takes 4 months of ongoing work to complete that perhaps he doesn't feel comfortable marketing it at this point. Also there may be some drawbacks such as clumping or something that are helping to make an immediate release less appealing to him.

If he can get the number of required office visits, for instance, cut in half, by the time he gets to this point he will also have learned how to get a better cosmetic effect from the procedure. So I think he has decided to wait it out because he has no need for immediate cash flow. When he releases the product it will be a lot better product and cost a lot less than if he were to release it now. I really have to think, from the positive note of his answers that HM is already a little better than HT in cosmetic capability. I couldn't afford the 50 grand it would cost to have the procedure done right now (travelling fees, living fees for 4 months, lab fees, Gho's fees, no income while I am living in Holland, etc.) so his not releasing the procedure is no big deal to me. I would have to wait to get it anyways. So by the time I ever actually get prepared to get HM, then it will not only be a superior product to what it is now, but perhaps even I can afford to have it done. Gho will make a lot more money in the long run by having it affordable anyways. I mean look how much it would cost someone to write a microsoft office 97 from scratch. It would cost a person a mint to buy it and take the guy that wrote it forever to finish. But when a company like microsoft puts this thing on the market for a couple of hundred bucks, everyone can afford it, and Bill Gates gets rich. If he had gone the other direction and decided that his software should only be reserved for people who can afford a 50,000 dollar piece of software, he wouldn't be nearly as rich because he wouldn't sell very many copies per year. Also it would make the piracy market much more attractive. This is a classic example of mass marketing as opposed to proprietary marketing.

I've always wondered from HLK's posts how Gho could be so dumb when it came to marketing as to try and release proprietary HM. It turns out he's not even trying to do this. What he is trying to do is exactly what Bill Gates did with an operating system. License it to others and take a slice of the pie of every computer that is sold in the entire world. In order to do this you have to have a product that everybody wants, and everybody also has to be able to afford it. In the long run, we will get better hair, it will take less time to get that hair, the hair will be way cheaper, and Gho will get more money. Everybody wins. I think the guys over there in Holland have their %#@^# way more together than a lot of people give them credit for, and I think that we all have reason to rejoice.

This is exciting! HM is real! Up until now, we haven't really known this. HM up until now was only speculation being made up from almost 0 evidence. The possibity that the science was not very far along or that there were tumor problems or something really bad standing in the way, or that HM was a Jadodaesque novelty were enormous. At this moment in time we can more honestly assume that it is a viable procedure and is going to be on the market in Holland in not that far away of a time span, and it is going to be realistically priced. Not only that, the direction of the hair is perfect! That is just a complete bonus from what might have turned out to be the case. On top of that, everyone can benefit because the amount of time that people have been bald appears to probably be a non-issue, since it really does appear that he is growing new follicles. Also I had envisioned a wide range of technical issues that would have to be overcome with the existing follicles stimulation theory. Now these technical problems are not problems at all.

All types of DHT caused baldness patients can benefit. This is really good news. It would have been devestating to some of the people who had for instance balding past 10 years, or diffuse thinning, etc. if everyone else got their hair back but they were left in the cold. It looks like this is not going to be the case.

I firmly believe that May 7th, 2001 has brought us all a better world. We were told by some that HM would be released on May 7th etc. and this gave a lot of people false hopes and they are massively let down by hearing the actual truth. But the truth is real, it is much better to live one's life based on truth than based on non-truth. The truth can be rewarding and the truth can also be punishing, but when it gets right down to it, the truth is real and it is wonderful because it frees one from the delusions that keep one living in a deluded state. It allows one the sanity to go on and see the world for what it really is. The truth is the best thing there is in this universe because in a sense, it is the only thing that is real. Everything else is a delusion and a waste of one's tremendously short time upon this earth. Okay that is my own philosophy and it probably doesn't work for all others but I have reached a point in my life where I have realized that in order to stay grounded and content, I have to embrace the truth even when it is punishing to me. I have to love it even then, because embracing the truth to me represents living and all that this entails, and embracing a delusion to me represents my spiritual death. I haven't got a whole lot of time left on this earth so during the time I do have left, I have to make certain that I live in it, because I have an eternity in which to die. If life turns out to be eternal, the only way I can personally live as an eternal being is to live for eternity. In order to do this I must embrace the truth and whatever circumstances come along with it. For as soon as I turn away from truth, I am dead. Many argue about whether life is or is not eternal, but I am certain that either way, there is a form of eternal death and I don't want to experience this any sooner than necessary. I am a man who lived for 5 years on my death bed and has been given a chance to live. Sometimes I suppose you have to lose it all, to realize everything that you have lost. When you get some of it back, it has a tendency to make one quite appreciative. I think having lost so much makes me aware of everything that I do have, and that many here are focusing on what it is they don't have. I can strongly identify with this because before the doctors of this world abandoned me and left me for dead amidst indescribable nuerological agony and misery, I was the exact same way. Now it seems odd to me that the world is set up so that those that have more think they have less, and those that have less think they have more.
