In an earlier post I talked a little about creativity and breaking ground into the future. After a follow-up post I realize that I left the impression that Ryan Livingston has cured baldness. This is not my stance. I personally put very little faith in Dermal Fusion. It is my gut feeling that it is not a cure for baldness. My post was simply meant to contrast that if one spends too much time in education they can become in danger of wiring their brain to think like everyone else and this is not always conducive to outside thinking which is what generally leads to new discoveries. I myself am heavily involved in mathematics at a university and although I am learning a great deal I am certainly not being taught how to revolutionize the world. I am being taught in a very cold uncompassionate manner how not to like math. Yet outside of the university atmosphere, mathmatics really can be a cool art form. School has its place but it is far from the endall of creative learning. In fact it is my experience that so much is rammed down the left brain, that one has very little time to contemplate the future. As soon as you do, you fall behind in the competetive environment that says, hey I have to be the best mathematician in the school.

There is a physics teacher here that will give you an F if you even begin to put creative ideas in a paper that stray from mainstream supposed fact. Now its not all like this, but I am just saying real thinking comes after you get out of school IF you are able to forget the bad habits that you were taught. Like how not to think creatively because you are disciplined everytime you do.

I mean its easy to see why Bill Gates dropped out and just decided to go on without an education. Something I learned while studying medicine in a quest to save my life is that educated scientists are extremely brilliant and aware about a thin area of thought, but that is all it is, a thin area of thought. While the world competes to be the best in this thin little area of thought, it really doesn't take much for someone to follow a different pathway and make a breakthrough that seems brilliant. In truth all's they did was focus on an area that wasn't at all rewarding to the masses.
