<<I agree that "true RU" probably does work. It's just too bad no one in this or any other forum has access to it.>>

Again, getting a hold of the stuff really isn't a big deal- it's an easy synthesis, and any compounding lab will do it for the right price. The cash is the real problem with doing this. I'm sure this is the route Mohawk went. I don't see why he'd lie about it- what would be the point?

<<Do you honestly think someone can make this stuff i some college chemistry lab?>>

Well, sort of. You need more than bunsen burners and test tubes, that's for sure, but it really isn't that difficult a synthesis. I urge you to look at Roussel-Uclaf's patent information- it's nothing a chemistry grad student couldn't readily handle. The real problem is the toxicity of some of the materials- it can be a real pain to get a hold of some of em. You actually have to provide written explanations for why you want them. Can you imagine? "I want to whip up a hair loss remedy in my lab." I think they'd cancel my account on the spot!

<<If it was so easily made, then foreign countries that need not abide by our patent laws would be making it by the ton and getting rich in the process.>>

Not really- the market for this drug is tiny, absolutely microscopic in relation to real blockbusters like Prozac, Claritin, or Viagra. In fact, this is the reason I suspect Cipla will show no interest in producing RU- the market isn't even close to what they're looking for. The reason people think this drug is so valuable is because it gets so much hype on boards like this one. In reality, topical antiandrgens probably have about as much value as psoriasis treatments, which is to say not much at all in the grand scheme of things pharmaceutical.

<<Your problem is that you are bald. You are having a hard time dealing with it. You see no cure on the horizon, so you have convinced yourself that you can create your own or maufacture someone else's concoction to give yourself direction.>>

I don't see anything wrong with trying to get a reputable Indian company to manufacture the drug- after all, plenty of people I know get Fincar. It wouldn't be a bad thing to have around, you know? But, you're right, I don't see any reason to obsess about it.
