Jean, I know how you feel. I don't know what has happened to me. Up to 6 months ago, my spirits were up. I am on Regaine 5% and I thought that my hair was beginning to look fuller even though the thin spots are still there. Recently, however, the shedding has increased and I am feeling really helpless. I have not opted to take any oral medication because I really don't know what the long term side effects are. I have 2 beautiful young daughters whom I love dearly and I want to be there for them for a very long time. Recently, I have been thinking about getting a wig. Although I still don't need it now but I just want to feel that it's there if I need it. Do you know what is so strange about suffering from alopecia? Up to 2 years ago, I never noticed any women with this problem. Now, I see women with thin haiur like me everywhere. What is happening to us? I am so glad for this forum to share my thoughts because at time I still feel very alone in this.
