So while you're not likely going to be able to get micronized(or prolly want to pay for) sucralfate.Carafate tablets could be mortar and pestilized adequately small to be put in solution and then use occlusive wraps(saran wrap or shower cap) for an hour or so to get your scalp sweating.When your scalp is sweating enuff you will have hydration since that's how occlusion works.The reason I prefer occlusion over just saturating your skin with a hot water soaked rag is that you can extend the hydration time as long as you want.You could not do this with just a 10 minute soaking of the skin with a water soaked rag and you do not want to water soak your skin later as you will remove some of the topical you just applied.
So that's the best answer I can give you.Just try it, the tablets and solvents are cheap enuff..no monetary risk,just a time risk if it fails.
Another thing to consider:retin-a may change all the rules since it strips off the "drug barrier"(stratum corneum) enuff to markedly enhance minoxidil absorption 20X(IIRC).Minoxidil by the way is rather light at over 200d and some experiments have shown only around 2% or so even gets thru the skin.This is just for reference there are other rules that apply to topical drugs also such as lipophilicity,temperature,etc, more than I would actually care to know.
