What is Waseda's Regimen ??

Waseda is a volunteer who has helped hundreds in the Zinc Oxide forum. The Zinc Oxide forum started in the beginning of year 2001 and has now become one of the fastest growing forums in HairSite. It took the Hair Multiplication forum over 3 years to reach forum # 38 whereas Waseda's forum is now at # 18 in just a matter of six months.

What is so unique about this regimen is that Waseda is not interested in selling anyone anything. Waseda does not profit from supporting the Zinc Oxide forums. He has no interests in receiving any recognition, credits or compensation for what he does for everyone in the Zinc Oxide forum. Up until recently (see elaboration below), no one company stands to benefit from the regimen that Waseda advocates.  

The "Zinc Oxide" forum is probably a misnomer because Zinc Oxide is not the only treatment discussed in this forum.

In summary, Waseda's Regimen is made up of a combination of 6 - 7 topical treatment protocals.  Each protocol is carefully researched by Waseda before they were incorporated into the ultimate regimen. Waseda always provides evidence of clinical studies, patents and scientific reasonings as to why a particular product is included in his regimen.

Being a hair loss sufferer himself, Waseda's main goal is to test the effectiveness of the regimen on himself and then share the results with everyone in the Zinc Oxide forum. Waseda has been religiously providing monthly before and after pictures to substantiate his progress.

There is one very important theme in Waseda's regimen - TOTALLY DYNAMIC AND CUSTOMIZABLE. One would hope that we can simply purchase a few bottles of potions and lotions from a vendor and we would be on our way to regrowth. Sadly it is not that easy. As indicated earlier, there is no one company that sells all the products that go into Waseda's regimen. In most cases, we have to purchase the raw ingredients from local drug stores, herbalists and health food stores and compound each protocol on our own following Waseda's instructions.  During the compounding process, Waseda always provides helpful advice in customizing the regimen to a particular individual's needs. For example, when compounding Zinc Oxide, Waseda recommended that we can substitute boric acid with ascorbic acid or even lemon juice extract if the individual is concerned about boric acid's toxicity.

In addition, it is not mandatory that you use all 6 - 7 products in the regimen. You have to study the benefits of each product in the regimen and decide what works for your situation.

As of July 16, the main products that made up Waseda's Regimen are:
1) Zinc Oxide treatment: Restamin Kowa Cream(10% ZnO baby cream) + 100% lemon extract + 10% ascorbic acid spray after drying.
2) Morehairin (=GSE + herbs) + bayberry extract.
3) Souhakuhi extract.
4) Vitaminox 5%.
5) Spironolactone 3% solution( I raised the concentration from 2% to 3%).
6) GSS + Senburi extract spray.
7) Waseda will apply Lipoxidil-1 as soon as it arrives instead of vitaminox, and add Lygal to GSS for aFGF stabilizing.

As mentioned earlier, no one company stands to benefit financially from Waseda's advice until recently. Given that some of the ingredients in Waseda's regimen are not easy to source while others require a very involved compounding process, HairSite has entered into an agreement with Ancientway and Shanghai Sahanji  to facilitate the process for those who wish to try Waseda's regimen.
