Photomatt
Dr. Woods & Dr. Campbell's Patient

Read This First!!

Ok some comments before you view these. The before photograph was taken the night before I left for Dr. Woods after I had buzzed down my hair. You can clearly see that I had a small island of hair in the front with vellus hairs on either side that never grew past perhaps 1/4 inches. I marked on the picture the areas that were just vellus hairs. Dr. Woods made it clear to me that he would have to destroy the majority of these vellus hairs to put terminal ones in and I agreed it had to be done. They were not coming back ever. So all the hairline hair you see in the after shots is from Dr. Woods' procedure except for a tiny bit in the very front.

I have had a lot of regrowth along the hairline for only being 4 months out but the top is still very slow with not too much. I am very happy overall with my progress so early on. I am also very happy with the shape of my hairline and I think it looks very natural. The right side for some reason is coming in slower then the left as you may be able to see. I can look at my hairline inches from the mirror completely combed back and not tell I have had a HT. There are 1 and 2 hair grafts that they put in there that is a bit noticeable but that's it.

Anyway feel free to give your honest opinions, I am a tough cookie and can take it.

Matt

Intra Operative Pictures

Intra Operative Donor Images of 'Photomatt'
1,200 grafts were removed. These photos were taken IMMEDIATELY after graft removal on day 2.

The photos are of progressively closer views taken immediately after the second session.

The only way to ascertain if any peripheral follicular damage exists is by examining the donor area closely at 'ground zero'. Future procedures depend upon this.

Note: Patient had some existing scars on scalp that were there prior to surgery. Use patient's existing scars as a reference point for viewing photographs

During 1800 graft removal
This picture is taken immediately after the 3rd session on Day 3 and represents a total of 1,800 grafts.

Healing will be rapid, and a "buzz cut" will be possible with no obvious detection from the 2 to 3 week mark.

The emphasis is on donor site preservation. Each follicle is a precious and irreplaceable commodity and therefore the donor site must be treated by the surgeon with respect and accountability.

Please note; when a follicle is removed, there is no encroachment upon or damage to peripheral follicles.

In this case, removal of a further 2,000 grafts from the same area is immediately possible.

Note: Patient had some existing scars on scalp
