Franklin
Dr. Woods & Dr. Campbell's Patient |
|
Franklin had several strip
transplants prior to becoming Dr. Woods & Dr. Campbell's patient in
January 2003.
How did Franklin ended
up choosing Dr. Woods? Well, it wasn't really that difficult a decision
considering that many strip doctors actually turned down Franklin citing
that he did not have sufficient donor hair in the back of his head.
Unlike other hair transplant doctors, Dr. Woods & Dr. Campbell had
no trouble extracting sufficient donor hairs from Franklin with their
excision free micro-surgical technique and gave Franklin 1,100 grafts in
the recipient area.
The following pictures
were taken 2 weeks post-op at Dr. Woods & Dr. Campbell's seminar in
Feb 2003, New York City. Franklin did everyone a huge favor by showing
up with a ground zero buzz cut all over. Everyone in the audience was
able to take a close up examination of Franklin's donor site and
recipient area.

Franklin's
hair loss was somewhat unusual in the sense that it did not fit
into any of the Norwood scale. If you look at the picture to the
left (click to enlarge), you will see that Franklin's hair loss
was in the form of a long strip that stretched from the crown area
and extended all the way up towards his hairline. The hair loss
was more extensive in the crown area than around the
hairline. |

tell that he had 1,100 grafts. |

If you pay
attention, you can see that the pinkish area is where the some
of the grafts were placed. |
