Note that this is NOT an authentic Waseda's formula. But since I really want to incorporate minoxidil in the cream, I decided to do a little experiment  and compound my own.

A little history:
I started using a GSE-Rogaine topical treatment back in Oct 2001. I dissolved 30 capsules of 100 mg GSE (Enzymatic) into 60 ml Rogaine 5% - for a 30-day supply. I used it for about two months but unfortunately, that did not work for me due to scalp irritations brought on by alcohol and propylene glycol in Rogaine. I have a long history of scalp inflammatory conditions so I am not surprised that it came back to haunt me when I resumed using Rogaine.

Since I still have a full bottle of premixed GSE-Rogaine left and I do not want to waste it, I decided to add emu oil into the solution and turn that into a cream at 1:1 ratio, ie: 1 part emu oil, 1 part premixed GSE-Rogaine.

I thought I would try this again and see if emu oil can make a difference. Now the only problem is that since I diluted my GSE-Rogaine solution with emu oil, the concentration of GSE will now be half of the recommended dosage.

Following is a picture of the final product. I kind of like the consistency as it dissolves readily into my scalp and I do not see the typical GSE stains.

I am also making Waseda's Anti-Andro cream. Will post pictures when that is ready. This is what I do on a Friday night, how pathetic huh :)

Note that I had to filter the GSE-Rogaine solution using a very thin cloth in order to eliminate all the residues, otherwise the cream would not appear as smooth as it does in the picture.
