Somehow I think there's been a misunderstanding. In general my shedding hasn't decreased. It just has decreased from the increased shedding I got when I reduced the Proscar dosage from 2 1/2 mg to half of that.
Of course, who knows if the decreased dosage was really the culprit in the temporary increase in shedding?? My primary care doctor said that if I wanted to try to decrease the dosage again, I should do it with a set time in mind so I won't jump to conclusions too fast. Maybe something else increased the shed - not the decreased Proscar dose?????
I doubt if I'll be on the Pill forever, but I WILL probably always be on some type of hormone replacement therapy, if not for my hair, for my heart and bones. I don't know about the Proscar. I guess I'll just play that one by ear as I go.
I've decided to go to Ohio for the summer. My boyfriend's keeping my apartment for me down here so I won't have to put my things in storage. I'll miss him but I need time to sort some things out and also to help my aging parents with some issues. Hope to get some temp work while I'm there though and see my friends alot. Hopefully I won't be staying with my parents the entire time - it would drive all of us CRAZY!!
How is your mental state? Sometimes I get so scared - not just about my hair - I guess just about life. It's a horrible feeling. Do you ever get that anxious?
