Dear Dallas, I've never met you and yet you are such a dear friend of mine. I just moved to another state and so things are more hectic than usual. I have never really been good at talking about how I feel about my hair loss. I feel extremely depressed about it and I feel bad about feeling so depressed about it. I am so blessed with 2 beautiful children and a wonderful husband. But this hair loss makes it hard to appreciate them. I really have asked my husband for a separation. I feel so ugly and I find it so hard to talk about things with him. At night I just want to zone out or have a good cry. He is a wonderful guy and I feel my being miserable is making him miserable. He says it's not and he loves me. I would try taking an anti-depressant but I am afraid it would make my hair worse. It seems that everything does. If I get a cold my hair sheds! I can't believe your ferritin went down. How can that be. If I remember correctly my ferritin was very low when I was on BCP, but when I went off it it increased. I don't know why that happened but it did. Are you only taking proscar and a BCP? I know you tried coming off the proscar and that was a disaster, but do you plan on coming off the BCP? I'm sure you read the war stories about coming off the BCP's. When I came off my BCP my hair shed like crazy for 7 months and then it finally slowed to almost normal, plus I was taking iron supplements. And then like an idiot I had to have surgery (I could have put the surgery off for awhile). I started to shed before the surgery but I think that was because I was so nervous about having the surgery. It is late here so I better run. Take care and thanks again for listening, Megan
