Thank you so much for responding :-) You have given me a little more hope. I've been losing my hair for 11 years now, since I was 11 years old and it's hard to grow up like that. I have been tested for iron 2 years ago and it was low, so I was happy about that, but when all the derms I've been to said I have adrogenic alopecia, I began to believe it and am losing hope and about to give up. Every time I get my iron up, my hair loss slows down for about 1 or 2 weeks and then starts up again. But that's because I never make the effort to keep my iron up. Upon seeing your success on the iron, I am more motivated to keep my iron up so that it has a chance to be normal again. I've become so depressed and fearful I'd have to wear a wig soon. But I am ver happy that you hairloss has slowed down and you are seeing regrowth. That must be a great feeling and a great weight lifted off your shoulders :-D I have a couple questions though, did you happen to see or lose any thinner hairs as well and did your hair growth rate slow or stop? Are you taking any vitamins or other things along with your iron? Thank you very much for your help. I hope that your hair loss has stopped for good and no more nonsense :-D

Hi Datz...I think there's plenty of hope and I think it takes so so long to build up iron--8 points max a month is optimium and we have to keep our iron up for quite a while...and hope that is the only issue. I've had to get off xanax, which affects hormones. I fear this also will cause TE as it causes heat waves and affects pituitary/adrenals...and hurts. I do hope you will get lovely hair and I will also. I hope you will be patient, get to the bottom of it, and not get on side roads like I've been on that make it take longer--like xanax and other medications that were ... disassssters. I hope you'll be able to shake out lovely locks of hair in the wind and enjoy...oh boy wouldn't that be nice. In the meantime, I hope you can feel lovely anyhow. Wouldn't that be great. I felt so good Sunday, thin hair or not, after a great sleep and no xanax for a long while...and felt lovely even with thin hair, and triumphant, and confident. it did'nt last as long as I hoped, but it was LOVELY. And I wish it for all of us.
